The L.C.R.R.C has a proud claim.....no single organisation in the UK has been responsible for putting more young riders into the UK road race scene than us. Of course, quality counts, and we have ex-L.C.R.R.C riders in every level, from club to MotoGP! To give you an idea, over 20 of the 2007 ACU Motostars GP125 class riders are ex-L.C.R.R.C! As well as riders in the GP250 class, F125 class and Suzuki GSX-R class in the same championship!

So what is it all about? Basically, we like to refer to the L.C.R.R.C as a "pre-road race" championship, somewhere where young riders, younger than ever before in the UK, can cut their teeth.....in exactly the same way that young riders have done in Europe, USA and Japan for years.

Juniors classes are.....for beginers, either the Phoenix Academy Cup [using 4.2hp Blata Mini Moto's], or the Jawa GP50 Auto class. Next up is "gearbox" racing [see machinery section"], 50cc, 11hp, Mini GP machines is next up, from age 8, then for 50cc, the elite....the Conti Cup UK [full power 16hp machines]....the largest and longest established of all European Junior road race 50cc championships run in the UK, which also offers the opportunity to showcase UK riders in Europe [some of whom have been picked up by European teams!]. Next stage up is GP70, again, there is a rookie class, and the full junior championship.

Adults are also catered for, the L.C.R.R.C started supermoto pitbike racing in the UK, and runs a full British Championship [at the same meetings] for Junior and senior riders. There is also a GP70 class for those senior riders who want the thrills of road racing, but don't want the hassle and expenditure nomally associated.

Finally, we also co-run 2 x Junior Road Race Championships, for ACU licence holders, one with EMRA, at Mallory Park, which has become the UK's fastest growing junior championship....and with good reason, with ex-championship riders making a real impact, particularly in the GP125 class, and also we sponsor the JRA/Preston & District, one of the UK's oldest established Junior Championships, which has been responsible for riders such as James Toseland, and many others.

Whatever the age of your youngster, whatever their ability and whatever your budget, the L.C.R.R.C is unique in being able to offer invaluable track-time, in an environment which is friendly and proffessional, using some of the best circuits in the UK, which are ideally suited to the type of machinery being used. Get road racing NOW, at an age never before available, and something which offers a real world alternative to junior motor-cross.
