GP70
This class has taken the UK road racing scene by storm in the last 2 years, no wonder it is the fastest growing Junior scene in the UK. The series has produced some stunning young riders, currently making a big impact at club level and in the ACU Moto Stars Championship.
2 x machines are on offer, the Conti RX356 V3 [17" wheel, 72cc version], which like it's little brother, is the most technically advanced machine of it's type available, with features such as 2 degree of rake adjustment, 10 position ride height adjuster, cartridge USD adjustable forks, adjustable rear shock, radial brakes, etc. Derbi based engine ensures ease of maintenenance, as well as plenty of power, via it's 28mm flat slide carb and digital internal rotor ignition.
Next up is the UK's # 1 selling machine, the Jawa RS70, which comes from a real race pedigree. This machine has no pretentions, and is by far the lightest machine [and the cheapest] in it's class [60kg!], and offers a very managable alternative for a young rider, to the old traditional route of F125.
The club also accepts converted [pre-cassette] 72cc Honda RS125's, which are getting very rare now. Again, a full race support service is on offer, with technical help, parts, work-shop as well as sundry items, from oil to tyre warmers, brake pads to paddock stands, Phoenix Racing are sole UK iimporter for both Conti and Jawa machines.

The new Conti "Pre-GP" 125 concept offers the next stage in cost effective rider training and competition. Like it's little brothers, the idea firstly and foremost is that all the bikes are exactly the same, and no modifications are permitted.....but with 30hp on tap! This means the best of both worlds, a bona fide Grand Prix machine, without all the expense involved these days of buying and running a full on GP125 machine, what is most important, is that talent, and talent alone will get results, unlike the GP125, which is quickly becoming cheque book racing as it get's more and more competitive in the UK. 2007 WIll see Championships for this machine in UK, Spain, Italy and Portugal, offering young riders exciting prospects for International Racing, as well as a distinct advantage for the Red Bull Rookie MotoGP selection process.
